    Latest news ! South African guitarist songwriter Nibs van der Spuy who will be in concert at Nantwich Civic Hall on Oct 23rd is to be joined by Tarporley songwriter Virginia Barrett and guitarist Stu Lupton.
     
    Vins' (Virginia) musical comparisons have ranged from Katie Melua, Joni Mitchell and Carole King, all the way to Nick Cave and Tom Waits, but Vin sounds most of all like herself. There is a unique and timeless quality about her songs. They feel familiar, yet fresh and different. She has a beautiful, warm, distinctive voice and is a fine lyricist. Her songs evenly distribute pure poetry, raw sensuality and kitchen sink irony.
     
    Vin has her own Nantwich concert planned for December 19th at the Nantwich Players Theatre.
     
    Both nights promises something really different for local music lovers.
